Sacramento Heart & Vascular Medical Associates is one of Northern California’s foremost specialty groups in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Echo Technologist, seeking employment in a fast-paced environment. A Covid-19 and booster vaccination is required. This position works out of the main office (centrally located in Sacramento, CA) and may require travel to our other satellite clinic locations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform echocardiograms, exercise transthoracic echocardiograms, pharmacological echocardiograms and bubble studies in accordance with established laboratory protocols and standards.
• Provide preliminary diagnostic evaluation and notify Cardiologists of examination results.
• Consult with Cardiologist to establish requirements for non-standard examination and determine technical factors to satisfy requirements.
• Work with medical staff to evaluate test methods and coordinate patient scheduling.
• Obtain relevant information from patient clinical record and record information on patient charts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Ability to work independently with excellent patient skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to travel to other satellite offices as needed. Deliver and stock supplies and equipment in satellite offices as needed.
• Must be able to interpret and write complete preliminary reports.
• Must be able to take vitals with a manual Blood pressure cuff.
• Provide excellent patient care.
• Ability to work independently with excellent patient skills.
• Must have a valid California driver’s license with proof of insurance required.

Education Requirements:

• Must be ARDMS certified RDCS or RDCS eligible with a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
• Satisfactory completion of ultrasound program from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with GES6, Vivid 7 , Vivid Q and the Vivid I, desirable.
• Covid-19 vaccination required.
