JOB OVERVIEW

The Ecommerce Account Manager is a business owner responsible for driving success for clients across all the Grocery channel’s retailer.com support for clients. This includes managing project schedules and working with clients to build successful strategies, developing client relationships, executing programs in eCommerce across total omnichannel. Ideal candidate would live in New Jersey or Cincinnati, OH or East Coast.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be the MPG Ecommerce lead across all Clients partnering with our team and the client:
    • Develop and execute growth-focused joint business plans with client, to include strategy, marketing, content, and inventory
    • Proactively identify client needs and issues, identify solutions and see them through to completion
    • Possess a clear understanding and command of client metrics related to growth, sales, inventory, content, marketing, and ROI
    • Coach and educate clients on key business drivers and inputs
  • Be an excellent manager eCommerce projects and deliverables:
    • Work closely with internal owners to set, track, and manage project timelines, inputs, and outputs
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal SMEs and partners
    • Communicate regularly with clients to understand business needs and priorities
    • Regularly and clearly communicate with clients on project status and input requirements
  • Provide best in class Ecommerce advisory and education
    • Execute analysis to inform recommendations and client deliverables
    • Monitor and understand clients’ competitive situation within the eCommerce space
    • Stay up to date on industry best practices and trends
  • Deliver excellent customer service
    • Oversee the client onboarding process
    • Ensure engagement deliverables are high quality and error free
    • Maintain quarterly business reviews and objective meeting sessions with clients
    • Advocate internally for clients
  • Focus on Business Development to Educate, share and sell our services to future clients
    • Seek out new clients
    • Participate and lead client calls for sharing the retailer.com solution across the grocery channel
    • Follow up on the working list of potential clients
    • Draft proposals for our services with potential clients using internal MPG resources

REQUIRED SKILLS AND CAPABILITES

  • 2+ years experience in:
  • Omnichannel, digital commerce, retailer.com experience, or experience managing an Kroger.com business for a vendor is a must
  • 3+ years experience in:
    • E-commerce (Amazon or retailer.com)
    • Client or account management
    • Digital marketing / advertising
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work in a fast-changing business environment
  • Experience motivating cross-functional team members to get the job done
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and dive into the details; a “can-do” attitude
  • Comfortable in spreadsheets, reporting, and analysis
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

TRAVEL

  • Travel will be required for key events and client visits, less than 20% travel

VACCINATION STATUS

MPG does not require candidates to be vaccinated when hired. However, if the client the role is being hired to support requires all candidates to be vaccinated, MPG will require those candidates working with that client to be vaccinated.
