The Salt Lake County Regional Economic Development Division is hiring an Economic Development Coordinator to work on real estate development and environmental remediation projects, as well as generally supporting activities in small business assistance, workforce development, and regional collaboration.

The Economic Development Coordinator will primarily support three programs: (1) a grant program to identify environmental contamination, (2) a loan program to clean up environmental contamination, and (3) a program that reviews proposals to develop or re-develop underperforming areas of the county. These programs require solid quantitative skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of how real estate development connects with quality of life.

The ideal candidate would be good at math, have experience in Excel, and be able to reliably process and track payments. No experience necessary in economic development, but this person should have an interest in starting a career in this field or a related one. We are looking for someone who can be taught the job and who will consistently perform tasks at a high level.

This position will work within an agile 8-person team and report directly to the Economic Development Director. The right candidate will be an energetic, proactive, and professional problem-solver who is a good team player and committed to doing great work.

Salary in the $50,000+ range based on experience. Generous benefits. Great work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,000.00 - $69,000.00 per year
