The City of Huber Heights, Ohio, located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and in close proximity of the Dayton International Airport and the I-75/I-70 “Crossroads of America” interchange with a population of 43,439, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of full-time Economic Development Director. Position is responsible to devise and implement comprehensive economic development strategies to proactively identify and attract new and retain existing businesses; analyze specific development proposals and provide related policy recommendations; and to establish and maintain effective communication with business representatives, economic development organizations; public officials, and the general public regarding economic development activities.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Urban or Regional Planning, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or closely related field with a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in economic development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to provide sufficient evidence of the successful performance of the essential functions of the job. Benefits include, but not limited to, sick and vacation leave accrual, 24 hours of personal leave and excellent health insurance benefits. The selection process will include applicant screening, and oral interview(s) on a date TBD. Prior to appointment, applicant must submit to an extensive background investigation, drug screen and physical. Salary range is $70,788 to $119,912 DOQ.
