The Wayne Reed Christian Childcare Center is a Three-Star Quality Program which follows all the rules and regulations set forth by the Department of Human Services. WRCCC is seeking a dedicated and professional individual who loves children and is willing to work as an Educational Teacher's Assistant in our 4-year-old Pre-K classroom with a potential start date of Thurs., June 1, 2023.

The full-time Educational Teacher's Assistant must be enthusiastic, a team player and have previous work experience with Pre-K aged children. In addition to assisting the Lead Teacher in the classroom Monday - Friday, the Teacher Assistant will also:

· Supervise children within the classroom, hallways, playground, as well as all other areas throughout the building

· Assist children individually or in small groups to help reinforce material lead teacher has introduced

· Prepare lesson plans, bulletin boards

· Ensure children are using all equipment/materials correctly and safely

· Enforce all rules and guidelines

· Observe and record student performance as it relates to their educational goals

· Must remain actively engaged with children throughout the day

· Communicate effectively with parents and visitors of the classroom

Candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED, CDA and/or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of the State of Tennessee DHS License and Star Quality requirements.
