About the Job

The EHS Specialist will report to the EHS Operations Manager and will be tasked to lead and direct various department EHS activities. The position entails internal safety inspections/compliance checks, equipment readiness approvals (Kanban), development/revision of safety policies and procedures and the associated training, and contractor management/inspections and overall EHS management.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the EHS team to develop and implement required programs.
• Inspect new, modified, and existing equipment using the Kanban system.
• Manage contractor safety qualifications and insurance requirements, conduct safety training, and perform contractor inspections on a routine basis.
• Conduct inspections of the Foxconn facility to ensure compliance.
• Training: conduct training for all Foxconn new hires along with annual fall protection, robot safety, core lockout, hazard communications and other safety programs.
• Support EHS activities for two dedicated departments.
• Assist with conducting ergonomic assessments per process.
• Conduct fire safety training with all employees.
• Conduct risk assessments per process.
• Support all emergency response projects, training and verifications.

Required Skills/Abilities

• 1-3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing and leading key EHS programs.
• Experience with electrical, robotic, and battery safety a plus.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments with high quality and on-time completion.
• Ability to prioritize constantly changing tasks and assignments.
• Strong skills in computer programs – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• The factory has both office area and shop floor area. The noise level in the office area is generally quiet. Wearing of personal protective equipment’s (PPE) when visiting the shop floor or when visiting a supplier’s manufacturing locations is required.
