JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Coop will accompany a carded Electrician at all times to perform electrical inspections and maintenance on all mine equipment including shovels, 930E Komatsu trucks, 69KV power distribution, plant and mining facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Able to meet the physical demand of the position according to the Physical Demands Analysis
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Perform all electrical PM and monthly MSHA inspections with a carded Electrician
- Troubleshooting and repair of the electrical circuits in the pit, shop and on equipment while under supervision
- Assist with day-to-day trouble calls
- Learning electrical troubleshooting and repairs on PLC, truck, shovel, infrastructure, high voltage & networking equipment
- Follow all mine safety requirements and best practices
- Attend all team meetings
- Optimize use of maintenance downtime to maintain equipment availability at or above budgeted parameters
- Update the PM inspection sheets for all PMs
- Perform all electrical work under direct supervision of a carded Electrician
- Other tasks or projects as assigned
