We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. This individual will be involved with the design, build, and prove out of industrial equipment including robotic automation cells and industrial machine tools designed and built by Wauseon Machine.

Core Responsibilities:

• Design electrical and fluid power systems for industrial automated equipment.
• Participate in Risk Assessment and safety planning.
• Participate in a team-oriented phase-gate process.
• Maintain a high level of communication with weekly task list updates and reporting.
• Travel to customer sites for necessary project kickoff and review meetings as required.
• Provide technical support and training for internal and external customers.
• Complete assigned project work on time per the project schedule, within the project budget, and meet customer and WMM requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• 2+ years of NFPA79 guided electrical design with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Willingness to travel 5%.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, 365, and Teams.

Prior Experience in the following areas is a plus:

• Familiarity with UL508A, CE, CSA, or NEC70 standards.
• Familiarity with fluid power ISO standards.
• Professional training in associated subjects.
• FANUC robot hardware.
• 1 year of PLC and industrial controls equipment programming.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
