Sycamore Engineering, Inc. is currently looking for a Electrical Engineer / Designer to join our team. They will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and implementation of electrical solutions. They will provide electrical aspects including design, detail, costing, studies, and more. The Engineer/Designer will work collaboratively across departments and external suppliers to ensure successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calculate electrical design drawings
• Develop the electrical specifications
• Size equipment and electrical services for industrial plants and other projects
• Perform site visits to assess the construction and scope of work- assess any problems with the site supervisor *day travel only*
• Discuss budget and pricing with clients
• Manage accounts (clients) and perform project oversight 60% of this role will be on the engineering and design side, about 40% will be client management and project oversight (including site visits) * this is flexible based on the experience of the candidate. if they have not handled as much project management, then they will be more slowly introduced to the project management side of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering ** Completed EIT exam and preparing for PE
• Capable of performing load calculations for commercial buildings
• Knowledge and proficiency within AutoCAD or Revit
• Knowledge of electrical codes- NFPA 70E National Electrical Code ** will have to learn Electrical healthcare codes and standards
• Capable of learning how to perform arc flash studies and reports
