3M is seeking an Electrician for Pittsboro, North Carolina. This position is Full-time 3rd Shift 6:00PM-6:00AM with rotating weekends.

Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for troubleshooting and solving complex problems in all areas of the plant. Perform design work on upgrades, modifications and engineering projects. Have proficiency in designing logic for multiple platforms. Be available to maintain and restore equipment to run status whenever problems occur. Provide documentation on engineering projects, upgrades and modifications. Recommend and initiate improvements, including follow-through to complete implementation. Provide technical assistance to maintenance craftspeople in identifying and resolving electrical/electronic issues.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems relating to production equipment breakdowns and make necessary repairs to electronic equipment to maintain and restore equipment up time.
• Monitor modifications/upgrades and keep procedures updated. Assist engineering in design and check out of new equipment.
• Remain current with technology such as PLC’s, Variable Frequency Drives, Instrumentation, Wonderware, etc. Train technicians and electricians to improve troubleshooting and overall skill level. Maintain prints to reflect current status.
• Research, analyze, recommend and implement improved control systems, methods of operations, PM's and spare parts.

Required:

• Possess an Associate degree in electrical and/or electrician certification or three (3) years’ experiences in electrician in industrial/manufacturing facility in a private, public, government, or military environment

Desired:

• Ability to read, understand, and update electrical prints
• CMRT – Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician or Journeyman certificate
