Electricians – Apprentice to Journeyman

Leapros Skilled Trades is looking for skilled electricians from apprentice level to journeyman for contract to hire commercial/industrial opportunities in the Salt Lake City, UT metropolitan area. Schedule: Mon-Fri with some Saturday work

Hours: 45+

Pay: $20 - $35 DOE and level of electrician

Contract Type: Contract and Contract to hire

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description

1. Removing, installing, maintenance, and repairing electrical equipment, wires, and fixtures.
2. Bending conduit of all sizes
3. Install various types of raceway and cable tray systems.
4. Troubleshoot motor and control systems.
5. Adhere to all quality and safety codes, maintain a safe working environment.
6. Will be working with ladders, booms, and elevated platforms.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
1. 1+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience
2. Knowledge of NEC Codes
3. Ability to perform electrical work and inspection on wiring, fixtures, outlets, and other electrical components
4. Strong conduit bending skills (all sizes) - non negotiable, will be turned away from site if not proficient in bending conduit without supervision
5. Set up and pull wire
6. Strong time management skills
7. Team working ability
8. Knowledge of the construction process
9. Ability to lift 75 pounds
10. Ability to climb up and down a ladder safely
11. Ability to install PVC and MC
12. Able to complete a full day’s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
13. Construction equipment proficiency
14. General code knowledge
15. Safety Conscious

Tools & PPE

1. Must have own tools of the trade (basic hand tools, power tools, and own conduit benders) as well as PPE (hart hat, boots, glasses, safety vest)
