JOB OVERVIEW - This position is responsible for the maintenance/construction electrical duties in all phases of the electrical trade work within the Maintenance Department at Montana State Prison. Responsibilities include communicating with the Maintenance Management Team as electrical maintenance/construction at Montana State Prison, plans all work assigned to this position to maintain the best possible electrical utility, responsible for the supervision and training of an inmate work force. This position will be supervising inmate workers.

QUALIFICATIONS – Thorough knowledge of all phases and types of electrical work including, but not limited to, maintenance, construction, transmission line work, inside and outside wiring, motor repair, controls including electronic and security systems. Must be skilled in the use of hand and power tools; in the operation of a line truck; must be able to maintain working relationships; must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess and maintain a current Montana journeyman's Electrical License. Must possess a valid Montana State Driver’s license.
