ELECTRICIAN
Evansville, IN
Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc., a leader in heavy civil construction and underground construction in North America and Canada, is seeking experienced candidates for an Electrician at our Midwest Office located in Evansville, Indiana.
The position is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within an industrial setting.
The essential functions of the position are:
- Inspect, evaluate and install mine construction electrical equipment to ensure that it operates efficiently and safely
- Install equipment per the National Electric Code and MSHA regulations
- Read and understand electrical schematics in order to plan the material and labor needed to accomplish tasks
- Inspect, repair, install, modify and maintain electrical systems, circuits and equipment
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum of five (5) years industrial / construction electrical experience
- Electrical license or certifications
- Ability to read plans, run and bend conduit, wire and terminate devices, perform quality control testing, and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in a mining and/or construction environment.
- Travel to project locations required as needed
- High school diploma or GED required
- PLC troubleshooting and computer experience is a plus, but not required
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus
