Electronic Parts Assembler

  • Job Type : Full Time
  • Location : Inside the Champion Aerospace facility in Liberty, SC. (Although candidate is employed by EEEA, Inc.)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is an entry-level position and will require training. We however are looking for a candidate that is willing to learn. It is an investment for us to train and develop our techs, and we are looking for individuals who also will invest their time/efforts into our company. Many who work in this field go to college to learn the ins-and-outs of electronics, however we are offering rare opportunities to learn onsite. Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for assembling electronic parts. In this role you will be required to read, interpret and follow instructions. Assemble parts and use tools to prep and fit electronic components. Great start to an electronics manufacturing career!

  • An Electronic Assembler is tasked to assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, products. Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
  • Use hand tools such as crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or similar hand tools.
  • Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on PCB panels.
  • Prep parts prior to builds.
  • Tend to prepping machines, to fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment.
  • Adjust or trim materials from components.
  • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.
  • Clean parts thoroughly.
  • Review work activities with supervisors.
  • Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.
  • Pack finished products for shipment.
  • Tag and label components.
  • Correct defects.
  • Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic devices used in avionic systems, military systems, and medical equipment.
  • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometres, callipers, and height gauges.

Qualifications:

  • Experience preferred (but not required): 1-3 years assembling small electronic/ microelectronic components/ parts.
  • Experience preferred (but not required): : knowledge of electronic parts/ wire/ manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have superior organizational skills, be detail oriented, and a high-energy self-motivated personality.
  • Maintain a professional attitude
  • Dependable.
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED

Hours: Monday through Thursday 6am-3:15pm, Friday 6am-11am
NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS!

Compensation: Starting $13.00-$14.00 (depending on ELECTRONICS experience & Skill set), with opportunity for advancement.
