Now Hiring: Full Time Emotional Wellness Coordinator
Salary: $35,000-$39,000 DOE
Hours: School Year – Mon. - Thur. 11a.m.-7 p.m. Fri. 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Summer: Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Emotional Wellness Coordinator will increase the ability for the Clubs to be safe, supportive and culturally responsive environments that intentionally work to enhance social-emotional skills and for us to appropriately refer young people who need more services than the club can provide.
This position will also implement emotional wellness programs and strategies including Positive Club Climate and other relevant curriculum, activities and/or strategies including Positive Action. The Emotional Wellness Coordinator will work closely with Club and organization leadership to ensure success of the Club’s workforce development program
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Prepare Youth for Success
- Create an environment that facilitates youth achievement:
- Promote and stimulate program participation
- Recruit and register new teen members and participate in their club orientation process
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members of all ages
- Using the Boys & Girls Clubs’ philosophy, maintain age appropriate discipline among youth participants so that programs are carried out safely and efficiently
Program Development and Implementation
- Work with the members, helping them develop social-emotional skills and build positive relationships so they will have greater ability to cope and thrive despite facing adversity caused by poverty, drug use in their families or in their communities, discrimination including racism, sexism and homophobia and other barriers to mental well-being.
- Serve as the main implementer of Emotional Wellness programming and training including Positive Club Climate as well as Workforce Development Initiative soft skill building curricula and activities.
- Provide case management—a youth-centered, goal-oriented process for assessing the needs of the teen for particular services and obtaining those services either at the Club or local services i.e. in the school system, Health Solutions, etc.

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Youth programming: 1 year (Preferred)
- Youth development: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
