Description/Job Summary
Lindahl Reed has an ongoing need for energy project managers to support federal clients in Denver, CO. The candidate will have experience with renewable and alternative energy projects, including project scoping, site selection, acquisition process, project approval process, and project financing/funding process. The candidate will be responsible for independently coordinating and completing project activities with internal and external stakeholders and overcoming obstacles, ensuring each project phase is completed on schedule. Requires strong interpersonal skills to provide leadership to, and collaborate with and work with diverse teams. Requires strong analytical skills to assess viability of potential renewable and alternative energy technology and project opportunities. Requires strong communication skills to clearly and succinctly provide recurring and ad-hoc project updates and synthesize information for key decision briefs and project actions.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, and progress assessment for energy programs, projects, and initiatives including monitoring of project schedule, cost, and deliverables.
- Support the scientific, engineering, and technical analyses of energy technologies and applications, including technical and economic performance.
- Provide recommendations and advice on system development, improvements, and optimization.
- Engage with internal and external project stakeholders to ensure effective project planning, communication, and reporting.
- Work closely with technology experts, acquisition, environmental, and legal specialists to coordinate and facilitate successful execution and management of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
- Engage with stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gaps are being addressed where possible at the Federal level.
- Assist in the development of internal briefing materials for decision-makers, and contribute technical review of external communications.
- Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials, congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Physical Science
- 5+ years’ relevant experience
- Ability to work with organizational managers and higher engineering authority in developing and gaining approval for proposed facility/utility programs/projects.
- Ability to work with stakeholders in managing projects and resolving problems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact effectively with multiple internal and external project stakeholders.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to think quickly, be flexible, and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment while providing exceptional service to candidates and employees.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills coupled with strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative personality, enjoys and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into processes and tactical plans.
- Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred knowledge of renewable energy, transportation, or energy efficiency technologies
