Our control systems are designed with built-in test equipment capability that enables the operator to perform on-aircraft troubleshooting, which significantly reduces the time required for on-aircraft functional tests. Robust and reliable Power Drive Units (PDUs) reduce aircraft load/unload time allowing the operator more commercial revenue flight time. These components work together to convey and secure cargo within an aircraft for fast and easy loading and unloading.
We are hiring for an Engineering IPT (Integrated Products Team) Lead who will be accountable for Technical Product Development within the Engineering organization within our cargo systems team. This role is the focal point for the Value Stream Team, Engineering organization and the Customer on a program. The Engineering IPT Lead will oversee a multi-disciplinary team and is accountable for performance of the engineering team to deliver to program requirements, including technical requirements compliance, design deliverables, schedule/delivery and cost targets that have been agreed to with the customer. The near-term assignment for this Engineering IPT Lead will be to oversee new product introduction development projects and work with a global team of engineers within the greater Collins Aerospace organization. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, work well in a team environment, and work well leading a team.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Technical Interface ensuring technical and program delivery targets are met.
- Ensuring scope understanding, closing gaps with scope and budget, and meeting program requirements.
- Leadership of Design Development to deliver hardware, software, and data items.
- Ensure staffing & skills to execute against the plan including domestic and foreign labor.
- Implement Design Engineering best practices, processes and procedures within the Standard Work framework.
- Oversee schedule, EV status of schedule and cost, deliverables, risk/opportunity, and change management as well as cadence to monitor progress.
- Define and monitor key performance metrics.
- Executive meeting preparation and presenting in the meetings.
- Facilitate a collaborate environment with Value Stream Leaders, Chiefs, Fellows, Functional Managers, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to achieve optimal design solutions and project execution.
Basic Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team
Product Development Life Cycle Knowledge including Systems, Hardware, Software, and Mechanical disciplines
Experience with cost & schedule integration
Recovery planning and workaround facilitation
Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task amidst rapid change
The preference is for this position to be a hybrid position in Jamestown, North Dakota, but a US based remote option may be considered for the ideal candidate

The salary range for this role is $112,000-$236,000; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
