We are currently seeking candidates to fill a Technologist 2, Process Engineering role to support our Smyrna, TN plant.

Job Summary*

• Responsible for safe, proper, and efficient operation of equipment in line with Process Engineering KPIs and projects at the Envision AESC Battery Plant production facility
• Works alongside Process Engineers—following their directives in terms of next steps on equipment
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Maintenance (MNT), Manufacturing (MFG), and Quality Assurance (QA) departments to support Process Engineering and plant objectives while fostering continuous improvement for long-term success

Works cross-functionally with MFG, MNT, and QA to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost for our production

• Analyzes and monitors process data to troubleshoot issues and maximize plant performance
• Influences leadership on specific recommendations for current operations and future development.
• Performs a variety of skilled work in the adjustment and repair of equipment
• Performs preventive adjustments and repairs based on data and engineering directive for equipment according to safety and quality procedures
• Communicates status of current projects or tasks with estimated completion times
• Supports process changes, design changes, trial parts, and Kaizen improvement activities
• Demonstrates data driven problem solving methodology
• Supports equipment acquisition or modifications to support new model launches as needed
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications*
Job Knowledge and Skill:

• Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and standardize PLC ladder logic (Omron)
• Ability to troubleshoot, modify, and standardize Vision System Programs (Omron/Keyence)
• Must be a self-motivated individual with good written and verbal communication skills
• Must have good understanding of root cause analysis (RCA), problem solving techniques, and process control management for quality and issue resolution
• Proficient in MS Office applications and knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Experience in information gathering, tracking, and consolidation
• Works well in a highly collaborative fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams
• Ability to apply technical math skills to solve real world problems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; report writing skills, presentation abilities, and motivational skills. Experience with contributing to the creation of reports, dashboards, and presentations
• Prior experience with new model quality objective achievement is highly desired

Experience:* 2+ years of experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing facility in a similar function

Education:* Technical School and/or Industrial maintenance/engineering apprenticeship required. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses.

Computer Skills: *Proficient in MS Office applications and knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor. Proficient in PLC ladder logic and vision system programs.
