About the Position: Position will start January 9, 2023 or as soon as possible. Bromley East Charter school is seeking a Language Arts teacher for 8th grade that will serve as a collaborative team member who inspires students and prepares high-quality, engaging instruction on a daily basis. The position will be for the remainder of the 22/23 school year. The position will be reposted in the Spring of 2023.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience and education
$40,524.71 (entry level)- $64,575.08 (Master’s Degree with 11 years of experience)

A Qualified Candidate is Someone Who:
- Holds a bachelor’s degree and current Colorado 6 - 12 teaching license with an endorsement in the English Language Arts 7 - 12, preferred.
- Has strong skills in Understanding By Design and familiarity with the Colorado 2020 Academic Standards to aid in course development.
- Builds a positive classroom community and culture containing structures to support student-centered collaborative learning, high expectations, and accountability.
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicates those objectives to students.
- Monitors student progress toward lesson objectives. Provides support to move students toward or beyond objectives.
- Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Communicates in a proactive and positive manner with all stakeholders.
- Has strong skills with technology including the Google Suite and online teaching experience.
- Has familiarity with Chromebooks and ability to manage student use with a 1:1 technology program.
- Plans and supervises class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guides students in learning from those activities.
- Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Confers with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic needs.
- Fully participates in building directed professional learning, committees, and staff meetings, collaborates with colleagues and seeks continuous improvement.
- Will be fully committed to the implementation of the Leader In Me Program and 7 Habits.
- Enforces all administration policies and rules governing students.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Successful completion of a teacher education/preparation program or commitment to enrollment in an alternative licensure program upon hire.
- Student teaching at the middle or secondary level for at least one semester.
- Valid Colorado teaching license issued by the Colorado Department of Education or a current out of state license that is transferable to the State of Colorado. Click herefor more information about license reciprocity in the state of Colorado.
- Classroom experience preferred.
