The Office of Administration is currently seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Coordinator to serve as an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) resource to state agencies and the state Operational Excellence community. The ERM Coordinator will collaborate with state agencies to develop programs to protect state team members and the resources of the state by sharing best practices, conducting workshops, and facilitating discussions to identify risks and develop risk treatment plans.

ERM is a proactive risk management framework that begins with the strategic priorities and opportunities of your organization. ERM helps an organization to identify and quantify risks and opportunities, prioritize risks that have the biggest impact to your organization, and develop treatment plans to address risks. The ERM framework aids in identification of the top opportunities to advance strategic goals and priorities.

What you’ll do:

The ERM Coordinator will engage with and develop effective working relationships with Departmental Operational Excellence leaders to support state agencies in ERM. They will also provide guidance and recommend training to promote risk control awareness and accountability. This may include conducting workshops, facilitating working groups, and providing other training resources. This position will be situated in Risk Management, but will have a strong collaboration with the State’s Operational Excellence Community.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated equivalent years of work-related experience in risk management, business, or communication. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and facilitate discussions with a variety of individuals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Action oriented, demonstrate superior organizational abilities and excellent communications skills
• Ability to work with team members at all levels of the organization to gather feedback, establish goals, performance indicators, action plans and deliverables, and effectively communicating across broad audiences
• Excellent leadership abilities, and be an effective collaborator with energy, enthusiasm, and an ability to gain buy-in and achieve results
• Solid understanding of data analysis
• Knowledge of ERM or prior risk management experience
• Knowledge or prior experience in strategic planning
• Facilitation experience
• Training, certification, and/or education in continuous process improvement programs such as Lean Six Sigma as well as completion of Missouri Way, Leadership Academy, and similar programs in preferred.
