Entry Level AutoCAD Detailer
Lawson Mechanical Contractors is a premier Sacramento mechanical contractor that has been operating for over 70 years. We are looking for an entry level CAD detailer to join our HVAC Detailing team. This position carries out all detailing activities with speed and accuracy. The right candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Talent goals for this role:
- A minimum of 6 months of general work experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience in a construction related field is preferred
- Great attention to detail
- Revit or BIM experience is a plus
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
Responsibilities:
- Use AutoCAD to create detailed shop drawings per project plans and specifications
- Coordinate shop drawings with other trades that may affect LMC’s scope of work
- Generate RFIs to clarify design document discrepancies prior to shop fabrication and field installation
- Work within project schedule deadlines and material lead times
- Review design document changes issued throughout each project to identify any impacts to LMC’s scope of work
- Effectively communicate with all members of the project team
Job Schedule: Full-time. Monday through Friday. Current work hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Salary: Depending on experience. Pay range is $20-30 per hour.
Work Location: Sacramento, CA.
