Job description
A successful Graphic Designer is one who has the ability to concept and execute designs that benefit the customer while pushing the creative envelope, based on existing brand guidelines in a fast-paced environment. This position requires strong organizational, conceptual, and critical thinking skills, a deep understanding of, and experience in branding, graphic design, layout, color theory, and strong typography, and an acute attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects and communicate with key stakeholders is essential. This position reports to the Head of Creative Strategy & Digital Media.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
- Plan concept by studying information and materials.
- Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtain approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
- Prepare finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; and purchasing from vendors.
- Prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment.
- Complete projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Experience with desktop publishing tools and graphic design software
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, allowing one to oversee several accounts and/or transactions

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers alike
