Schedule: 7am - 7pm with an every other weekend requirement

Base starting rate: $15.25 + (possibility of an increase after 90 days)

Eligible associates will receive a $2.00 per hour shift premium, for hours worked upon achieving perfect attendance for the completed work week. This shift premium is calculated weekly and paid on the following week. Any absence, tardy, or early shift departure prior to release of shift, regardless of whether the absence results in points, will disqualify an associate for the purposes of perfect attendance. Company holidays (if not scheduled to work) and non-scheduled workdays (department down days) do not count as absences for the purposes of this procedure.

We are seeking energetic, skilled Downline Packers for immediate expansion openings in our facility in Penn Yan, NY.

We operate 24 / 7, 7 days per week. This opportunity will require flexibility to work a rotating weekend schedule and scheduled overtime.

JOB SUMMARY:

Our Downline Packer associates are responsible for product coming off the line from the time it is filled until it has been boxed and stacked onto pallets, ready to go to the warehouse for storage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load bundles of boxes into machines
• Operate labeler and ink-jet printer
• Operate box erector and case packer
• Load pallets onto conveyors
• Stack cases on pallets
• Use wrenches & pallet jacks
• Manually clean equipment
• Contribute to our excellence with a positive and flexible attitude
• Ensures full compliance with all quality assurance standards, especially good housekeeping and overall cleanliness of products and work areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School / GED required
• 2-3 years’ experience or equivalent employment preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
