The Staff Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization
• Assists as needed with maintaining the General Ledger
• Actively participates in the monthly close including coding invoices, reconciling some GL account activity, and recording basic journal entries
• Reconciles bank accounts at a minimum monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses some bank-related inquiries
• Ensures vendor payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
• Provides some assistance to senior Finance members with requests from external accounting firms with respect to gathering necessary account information and documents requested for the preparation of corporate tax filings and annual financial review
• Assists with resolving basic federal and state tax inquiries as needed
• Assists with the implementation or upgrading of any Finance or ERP systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,948.00 - $65,922.00 per year

Experience:

• GAAP: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPA (Preferred)
