Job Description:
Evansburg Vineyards is looking for a friendly, organized, and energetic new shift manager that is excited to interact with patrons, work closely with our winery family, and serve some delicious wine.

The shift manager will be tasked with:
● Behind the bar activities including pouring wine and checking out patrons
● Occasional serving tasks including taking and delivering patron orders
● Will be accountable for the smooth operation of the whole team
● Answering high level patron inquiries
● Satisfying any/all needs of the guests - regularly checking in with guests throughout their experience.
● Maintaining a clean & organized station – including pre-bussing & table maintenance.
● Training new staff
● Attending and assisting in winery-hosted workshops and fundraisers
● Point person for customer concerns and inquiries
● Assigning server sections at the start of shifts
● Leading opening and closing procedures
● Relay knowledge of all menu options
● Answering the phone when behind the bar
● Assisting patrons with questions regarding prospective event bookings

The ideal candidate is/has:
● Experience working in a high-energy/high-volume venue either in the service industry or in event planning
● Enthusiasm for wines and a desire to learn more about wines
● A commanding presence and an optimistic attitude
● Proficient with POS systems; We use Square here!
● The ability to creatively & quickly problem solve, collaborate with a team and stay calm under pressure
● Highly responsible and reliable
● 21 years of age or older (must be able to taste and evaluate product)
● Able to carry and balance a flight of wine
● Able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds
● RAMP Certified (this can be done during training)

More about the job:
Pay: $25 / hour + tip pool share

Exact hours are flexible but must be available generally on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
This role is part-time and will be on a fixed monthly schedule. This position hours can be anywhere from 15-30 hours per week.
