HackerOne is looking for a driven event marketing coordinator eager to engage business leaders in the world’s most security conscious organizations and work with hackers. The coordinator will play a key role on the marketing team helping to drive and support critical initiatives aimed at both creating new pipeline and fostering our community of over 200,000 registered hackers. Assisting with managing our marketing events strategy and developing hacker-communications that allow us to consistently engage and update our community will be two areas, specifically, that this role will be responsible for.

What You'll Do

    • As a key member of the marketing team, the coordinator will be responsible for assisting with HackerOne’s events planning and execution, and also work cross-functionally to support the marketing team
    • Planning and executing on key events, including tradeshows, HackerOne’s annual user conference, leadership dinners, meetups, and parties. Including event logistics, budgets, and onsite execution
    • Build relationships with vendors and stakeholders across the industry and HackerOne
    • Carry out post-event recaps and provide event recommendations based on data-driven assumptions and results
    • Manage events calendar, project management with Asana, and related communication across HackerOne
    • Collaborate with the Communications team on CFP speaking submissions including: idea generation, drafting and executing on the submission process
    • Contribute to our online community by creating interesting and relevant content around our on-going events schedule to drive sales meetings and support the website, blogs and social

Who You Are

    • A self-starter who is motivated and passionate enough to do whatever it takes to accomplish our team’s mission
    • 1-2+ years of relevant work experience in program/event planning, public relations, marketing, or related area, is a plus
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks, and follow through to achieve strategic goals
    • Ability and desire to work in fast-paced startup environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Google Suite and Asana a must
    • A sense of curiosity and passion, along with a competitive nature
    • Flexible, proactive, responsible and detail-oriented individual
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
    • Bachelor’s degree or or equivalent practical experience
