What is Your Role? The Events & Programs Manager is responsible for oversight of planning, developing, and coordinating events and programming for residents and family members. As well as overseeing the development and delivery of events and programming from departmental staff. This position creates an environment of wellness and engagement throughout the organization. The Events & Programs Manager collaborates with other departments as well as the community at large to provide programming.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, engaging, and training team members.
- Establish departmental strategic goals while managing financial resources to ensure that needed resources are available and that quality care is delivered to all residents.
- Responsible for planning and implementing an activities program and special events suitable for all levels of care. The program must strive to offer the residents cognitive stimulation, physical challenges, opportunities for spiritual growth and generation appropriate fun.
- Prepare activity assessments and MDS for each resident according to regulatory requirements.
- Completes participation records and prepare progress notes per regulatory standards.
- Engages residents in planning creative community events and programs of interest to residents and families.

- College degree or advanced schooling preferred.
- An individual that meets requirements for Activity Director, as outlined in Federal regulations.
- CDL or receipt of license within first 90 days of employment
- Prior experience in social or recreational programming in a senior living setting.
- Have availability for flexible work hours.
