Tavern On The Bay, a high-volume restaurant in Somers Point, NJ, is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a hands-on approach to managing the kitchen operations and an unwavering commitment to delivering the highest dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and kitchen equipment maintenance
• Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen team members, including Line Cooks, Food Preps, and other kitchen staff
• Develop and implement seasonal special menu selections in addition to the pre-determined menu
• Schedule kitchen staff to cover shifts and meet labor requirements
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chef or Cook in a high volume setting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage a team and provide guidance and direction to kitchen staff
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in food inventory and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Passion for service and uncompromising desire to deliver the highest dining experience
