Job Description

This individual will be reliable and willing to work as an experienced excavator operator. This individual will be responsible for operating equipment on multiple construction projects which includes but is not limited to excavators, skid loaders & backhoes and other earth moving type equipment. Individual will be required to install sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main, excavation for foundations and miscellaneous type of grading work.

Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following

• Excavate trenches for underground utilities.
• Grade trench for pipe, manholes, intakes, fire hydrants, etc.
• Understanding how to bench slopes and work around utilities is a must!
• Install multiple variations of pipe, fittings, structures, etc.
• Work with pipe lasers & orbital lasers.
• Perform shape-excavation on projects.
• Able to excavate rip rap, erosion control items and clearing and grubbing on projects.
• Operate excavator safe and proficient.
• Keep work area and material staging area clean.
• Operate general construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, skid loader, quickie saw, water pumps etc.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Adhere to the Connolly Construction Inc. safety program and maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Read and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines.
• Ability to understand & carry our oral & written directions from project foreman.
