Survey Crew Chief

Location: Lisle, IL

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $28-$40/hr DOE

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief in Lisle, IL. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience working on civil survey projects, a strong work ethic, great attitude, and a desire to grow in their career.

Responsibilities

As a Survey Crew Chief, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting various surveys such as TOPOS, boundary surveys, ALTA land title, and construction layouts.
• Maintaining precise field notes and sketches.
• Training and mentoring less experienced surveyors and instrument operators.
• Keeping survey equipment clean and well-maintained.
• Operating Trimble Total Station and GPS equipment.
• Ensuring that the vehicle used for surveying is clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Survey Crew Chief position should possess the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 5+ years of Survey Crew Chief experience (NO Oil and Gas)
• Clean Background Check, Motor Vehicle Record and Pre-Employment Drug Test
• Ability to work with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center
• Strong work history and demonstrated longevity in previous positions
• Ability to work effectively in a small team setting
• Strong verbal communication skills
• A strong desire to grow and be a part of a great company culture
• Ability for light travel as needed (90% local work)
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs in uneven terrain.
