THIS IS A NON-TENURE TRACK POSITION
Position is for Santa Fe County, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico

The successful candidate will:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Extension educational programs for adults and youth, special interest groups, adult and youth leaders in the areas of nutrition, family, and health throughout the county and the public as job requires.
- Support annual county fair.
- Recruit, train and support volunteer adult and youth leaders.
- Team with other Extension Agents in the county and district and with State Specialists, District Department Head and Administrators in planning and implementing total Extension programs.
- Maintain a favorable public image and gain acceptance for self, Extension, and New Mexico State University among the county citizens
- Administratively responsible to the County Program Director and through him/her to the Northern District Department Head.
- Provide timely reports as required.
A Master’s degree is required with a degree in Family and Consumer Science, Nutrition, Health & Social Sciences, Education, Family and Child Development, Agriculture and Extension Education, or a related field area; basic community wellness and community health. Or may be under-filled as a College Instructor rank with a bachelor’s degree as listed above and a 2.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Must complete a master’s degree within 5 years of hire date to remain employed.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
Satisfactory experience in Extension or related field demonstrating ability to work with youth and adults preferred.
