The F119 engine program, power for the F-22 Raptor, has an opening for a motivated, self-starting Support Equipment Specialist at the Pratt & Whitney Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of support equipment (SE) assets and interface with the United States Air Force (USAF) customer and external vendors.

The F119 Support Equipment Specialist position activities include (but not limited to):

  • Manage and perform minimal maintenance of the support equipment (SE).
  • Utilize MERLIN to communicate disposition requests with SE Engineering and Fleet Management.
  • Manage tooling within the HMC to include establishing processes for new tool requirements, training of HMC personnel on tooling best practices and processes, and coordination with internal and external organizations related to tooling.
  • Assist with container delivery and repair for the HMC.
  • Participate in or lead teams, committees, events and training that improve the organization and support achieving CORE objectives.
  • Coordinate with 3rd Party Logistics Provider for shipping and receiving of support equipment.
  • Coordinate and manage annual inspections, care and feeding of support equipment and track all maintenance activities in the SAP system.
  • Present issues and propose solutions to internal management team and external customers including the USAF.
  • Support Government Tooling Audit Activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree
  • An Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience in a related field or a High School Diploma with 6 years of experience will also be considered
  • Technical familiarity with engineering blueprints and the ability to read engineering drawings
  • Basic understanding of jet engine or support equipment/ tooling development planning, project management, tool design, tool manufacturing, and inspection processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, organizational, time management skills and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups is required.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control.
  • SEAL, PyRITS, SAP, and/or similar systems
  • US Citizenship required due to Government Contracts
  • The ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience a plus, but not required
  • Base knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office tools
