Overview
The Facilities Coordinator works under the supervision of the Director of Campus Resources and is responsible for oversight of RSHC campus safety, security, and maintenance activities. Acts as liaison with vendors, property managers, contractors, and public safety officials, coordinating day-to-day operations of the campus. Assists in meeting campus audiovisual needs. Responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance, respond to urgent maintenance calls and participate in the creation of emergency preparedness plans. The Facilities Coordinator will manage office functions including: work order coordination, security badge and access assignments, maintain campus inventory records, coordinate project activities, and scheduling support.

What you will do
- Responsible for routine facilities maintenance activities and supervises vendors, contractors, and their work. Creates annual maintenance plan, conducts weekly visual inspections of campus facilities, and completes daily visual inspections of vendor and contractor projects. Coordinates scheduling of facilities maintenance to meet educational needs. Responsible for the reporting and coordination of facilities during inclement weather or other environmental emergencies. Responds to campus issues occurring before or after business hours. Responsible for project oversight on any and all RCHC construction projects.
Performs department projects and assignments including but not limited to Care Difference Training training, employee and municipal safety officials training and orientation, department project assignments, etc.
Demonstrate personal accountability of resources by effective time management, reducing expenses (costs) and flexibility in an effort to increase service access to customers. Actively contribute to cost containment by controlling supply utilization and maximizing productivity.
Performs campus safety activities Including the development and implementation of annual safety plan, emergency preparedness plan and drills, Inclement weather response, environmental audits. Maintains ongoing communication to students and staff related to safety and project requirements.
Maintains contractor files, facilities reports, and position specific information in an organized accessible manner either electronically or in paper files. Maintains all required documentation required for accreditation visits; ensures all inspections are completed on time and documented; maintains campus crime and safety/security reports; Maintains and updates the Clery Act report. Maintains accurate reports on all RCHC construction projects.
Demonstrates leadership and active promotion of customer service to students, faculty and staff. Demonstrates responsiveness and flexibility to meet faculty and staff expectations. Consistently exceeds customer expectations by anticipating their needs, implementing appropriate actions, initiating service recovery as needed to enhance the customer’s experience. Consistently utilizes appropriate tone and body language while interacting with customers and co-workers in writing and in person.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED, (Required) and
Associates Degree, Business, Maintenance or related area of study (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience combined in any of the following: Customer Relations, Project Management, Security and /or oversight of Facility Maintenance (Required)
2 years Maintenance (HVAC, Electrical, General Contracting) experience (Preferred)
