Job description
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, housekeeping/cleaning, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
- Do general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and properties including but not limited to bathrooms, hallways, and walking areas
- Set-up and move of furniture for offices and rooms
- Paint, repair flooring, and work on plumbing, electrical, and air-conditioning and heating systems
- Inspect and diagnose problems and figure out the best way to correct them
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that facility equipment continues to run smoothly
- Assemble and set up machinery or equipment
- Plan repair work using blueprints or diagrams
- Keep detailed records of their work
- Keep supplies stocked and oversee ordering
Qualifications
- Requires at least 1 years of previous experience in maintenance or repairs for a building facility
- Minimum age of 21 years old
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces and occasionally lift or move up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines including potential emergency response situations
- This position requires bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and crawling, walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
