Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, one of San Diego’s oldest and most prestigious law firms, seeks an Associate Attorney to join the Firm’s Family Law Practice Group. For consideration, please submit a resume, salary requirements, and writing sample.

Job Responsibilities

· Assist supervising attorney in management of family law cases

· Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs

· Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel

· Telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

· Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits

· Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial

· Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums

· Track billable time

Qualifications

· Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California bar

· Two to five years of experience desired

· A fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills

· Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills

· Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
