We are looking for a Field Service Technician in the After Sales and Service Department at our location in Mukilteo, WA.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform OE modifications, service repairs, unit overhauls and inspections, general troubleshooting and testing per scheduling.
• Work closely with ZF Marine staff to ensure appropriate actions are implemented to meet customer demands and service and delivery issues are resolved and communicated in a timely fashion.
• Maintain the shop work area and any tools and facility equipment required.
• Ensure company vehicle and equipment are well maintained and operated safely and in accordance with ZF Marine policy and procedure.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices, while using safe work practices and the proper tools and equipment, including precision measuring instruments for the job assigned.
• Perform sea trials as required.
• Ship/pack, receive/store, and ensure proper inventory controls are maintained for units, parts and accessories as required.
• Assist in Dealer and Field Service Technician training both in-house and at customer facilities as required.
• Conduct warranty investigations and prepare required reporting.
• Assist in service order completion including associated paperwork.
• Assist in the general maintenance of the ZF Marine facilities as required.

*40-50% domestic and international travel required.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School diploma
• 5+ years relevant experience.
• Product knowledge, marine industry experience, basic electrical/electronic knowledge, and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Computer systems literacy, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and software applications such as Concur, E-Time, and Navision.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Passport / TWIC / Port Security eligibility.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Associates degree
• Trade school (AS) degree preferred or 6+ years of experience and/or training.
• Marine industry knowledge
• German and/or Spanish language skills preferred

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
