About The Role –Field Support Technician (Fairbanks, AK)
The Technician - Field Support provides maintenance and reliability support and management role for field equipment.
What you will be Doing
- Maintenance for field equipment includes troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs.
- Occasionally assist as-needed in plant operation and support.
- Coordination of two-yearly Pump Protection proof testing Role model in the use of Orica safety systems
- Coordination and completion of 60-day maintenance inspections on underground pump units.
- Provide feedback to Management on common mode failures and communicate appropriate actions back to regional operations.
- Regional equipment documentation kept up to date in SAP.
- Assist regional Technical Services team with basic field work.
Role Dimensions
- This position shares work schedule and responsibilities with another Technician on alternate schedule.
- Travelling to Fairbanks by air and to customer site by company provided vehicles
Work Schedule
- 14 days on / 14 day off
- Overnight stays at mine-camps for duration of 14 day shift
Physical Environment
- Position requires physical labor and ability to lift 50lbs.
- Work completed in various environments (ie plant/manufacturing, in the field, in all types of Alaska weather)
Career Opportunity & Travel
- Specific work opportunity with Orica Hypercharge Drive contract agreements in and around an active underground mine
- One time trip (2-3 week) to Western Australia for position-specific training (passport required)
Your Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of light vehicle or diesel mechanic experience is a plus
- At least 2 years of construction or mining industry experience is a plus
- Possession of own tools and storage is a plus, not requirement
- ASE Certification

Compensation Range
