Key Responsibilities:
Sales Compensation – Perform compensation system setups and sales compensation calculations including but not limited to actuals, forecasts, accruals, payout tie-outs, year-end true up calculations, and summary analytics.
Planning – Participate in Forecast, AOP and Strat Plan processes with primary ownership of commissions account which includes identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
Business Reporting and Analysis – Prepare and assess report data (e.g., daily net sales, month-end matrix report, headcount reporting, trend analysis, planned and forecast variance analysis, etc.) to identify opportunities for course correction/course alignment. Providing justification and communication for variances.
Month-End Close – Prepare commissions related journal entries and account reconciliations, monthly reporting decks, HC summaries, review financial measures, provide guidance and advice regarding cost center performance. Develop BU specific reports and dashboarding to help streamline processes and provide efficiencies.
Special Projects – Support Critical Care Finance Team Projects focused on improving ad hoc reporting and analysis, data analytics, and business processes (i.e., Transition of reports to Tableau)
Compliance – Ensure Edwards compliance by applying knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., Sunshine Act, SOX, GAAP financials, SEC, IRS) to develop explanations for internal and external auditors
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Business Administration
A minimum of 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience (or one year of experience with a Masters)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience partnering with the sales operations team
Experience with Microsoft Access or other database management systems (e.g. SQL)
PowerBI
Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Good knowledge of financial concepts and principles
Good understanding of multi-relational impact of the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement
Additional Expectations:
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint and related financial systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management skills
Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
Good knowledge in own functional areas and general knowledge of other areas impacted within the business
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projects
Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships

For California, the base pay range for this position is $63,000 to $90,000 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
