The Cliff House Dining Room is hiring for an evening server in our AAA 4 Diamond Restaurant.

Previous server and bartending experience is required.

JOB SUMMARY:

1. Primary focus is guest satisfaction with a particular emphasis on exceeding guest expectations. A positive attitude should be displayed towards guests at all times.

2. In charge of service attendants with in station.

3. Assist captains, as well as Maitre D’s with any and all duties as deemed necessary.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Be on time for all shifts; call the dining room supervisor if unable to report on time.

2. Come to work prepared and in full uniform.

3. Opening and closing duties are a critical part of a server’s duty. Making sure that all things are ready for that shift and that the next shift is properly stocked up for before leaving.

4. Use of guest names when ever possible is required.

5. Full support of the servers and captains is expected.

6. Overall cleanliness and maintenance of the dining room is the responsibility of server.

7. Knowledge of the menu and wines by the glass as well as some cordials is required and will be tested on from time to time.

8. Pre-service meetings are held daily by the chef and attendance is mandatory. Notes should be taken and questions asked to ensure proper knowledge of the daily specials.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Positive Attitude.

2. Knowledge and implementation of company policy.

3. Ability to work well with all departments and adapt to changing needs.

4. Banquet setup and service may also be required.

5. Uniforms consisting of a black shirt, black pants, black socks and black dress shoes must be provided by the server. A tie and apron will be provided by the Cliff House at Pikes Peak and remains the property of the hotel and should be kept in good condition.
