SUMMARY: May perform any number of routine duties relating to moving of product as assigned. May drive one or more industrial rolling powered equipment or trucks commercial trucks in a variety of facilities and on public roadways.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

• Ensures Good Manufacturing Practices are followed at all times.
• Performs pre-operating inspection of equipment and reports all defects to Maintenance for immediate repair.
• Is responsible for re-fueling vehicle and cleaning surfaces routinely. Ensures work area is clean and organized.
• Maintains inventory integrity and accuracy in moving ingredients, materials and products.
• Performs all assignments in a safe and sustainable manner.
• Reports to Supervisor or Crew Leader any issues with materials, products, inventory integrity or pallets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Less than high school education; no prior experience needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to communicate effectively with all employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to count up to 4 digits.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Have the ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS (one or more of the following:)

Forklift Operator Certification; valid Oregon Commercial Driver’s License. Optional: other industrial powered equipment Certifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near pedestrians and fixed objects and other drivers. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat, extreme cold and vibration. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
