Front Desk Guest Service Agent
Open Sky Zion is a high-end, luxury, boutique glamping resort located right outside of Zion. As such, our Front Desk Guest Service Agents do more than the routine checking in and out of our guests. They establish a rapport with our guests and go above and beyond to accommodate them during their stays. Overview
Open Sky Front Desk team members are the first faces that our guests see when they arrive. Our coordinators create a well-presented, welcoming, and accommodating atmostphere right off the bat, and go above and beyond to meet our guests’ needs. They are proactive, highly organized, and have strong attention to detail.
Job Duties
- Greet and establish rapport with guests during check-ins, stays, and checkouts
- Escort check-ins to their luxury camps and acquaint them with their tent’s amenities
- Assist and accommodate guests (current and future) so that our service is on par with our luxury brand
- Field calls / text messages / emails to the front desk, including inquiries, making bookings over the phone, and guest assistance
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping Team during turnovers
- Spot checking staged tents for cleanliness and completion
- Coordinate with the F&B Team with regard to dinner reservations and room service orders
- Make deliveries to guests, including room service orders and other guest requests
- Take payments for purchases from our restaurant and gift shop
- Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked front of house
- Make proficient use of our room management system (ThinkReservations)
- Make proficient use of MS Excel for organizing various procedures and processes
- Collect payments and issue refunds
- Inform and assist guests with off-site adventure activities, on-site activities and events, visiting Zion, our restaurant, and anything else a guest might need during their stay
- Other duties as assigned or needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum two years’ experience in hospitality or customer service (prior front desk experience preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to think on your feet and figure it out for our guests; excellent problem-solving skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- High computer and app-based software proficiency, including email, internet, Microsoft Office applications (especially MS Excel), and room management systems
- Glamping resort or luxury hotel experience highly preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
