This position supports the enterprise wide approach to maintaining Capital Blue Cross' digital assets. This includes multiple web sites, related micro sites and landing pages for all brands and products in the company’s portfolio, the Capital Blue Cross mobile app, content management systems and software, and marketing technology software.

The qualified candidate will make content updates, apply site standards, perform front-end development needs, and back-end support for our marketing technology software - primarily Salesforce Marketing Cloud. They're also responsible for automation logic and writing code that will execute in the browser, such as HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, and mobile code.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience is a requirement of this position. Non-certified candidates will need to work towards their Marketing Cloud Developer Certification. Certified Marketing Cloud Developers have hands-on experience developing across the full platform. They create personalized, dynamic messages and landing pages, and are fluent in Marketing Cloud scripting languages - primarily AmpScript. They’re also experienced in advanced segmentation, reporting and analytics, and data configuration.
  • Implement the Digital Experience Plan, specifically website and member experience strategies, as a subset of the overall IT&D roadmap. 20%
  • Perform front-end web updates, mobile app development on occasion, and support the programming and development needs for Salesforce Marketing Cloud 40%
  • Supports the Agile processes and IT&D monthly releases 25%
  • Drive requirements for back end development teams, to ensure the full user experience can be implemented. 10%
  • Works collaboratively with internal business areas to support strategic initiatives and report on outcomes. 5%
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Knowledge:
  • Thorough understanding of user experience principles, linking strategies and content and page development as it relates to websites and digital properties.
  • Knowledge and experience in web architecture and design, technical site management skills, internet-based applications, meta tags, content and page development, URL structure, linking strategy, landing pages, and site indexing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and ability to use languages: XHTML, CSS, XML, ActionScript, JavaScript, PHP and Marketing Cloud AmpScript.
Experience:
  • one - three years' experience in website content management/web architecture and design.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle and feel, and talk, hear, and see. The employee must be able to work over 40 hours per week. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds.
