Statement of Job

• Relieves Prime, Specialty, and Batter operators.
• General Clean-up on Prime and Specialty lines.

Major Duties

• Monitors Prime, Specialty, or Batter area while operator is on break.
• Performs daily sanitation at assigned area.
• Hangs batter bags.
• Assists operator with changeover responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Flume Setup
• Blancher Setup
• Fryer Scraping/Sanitation
• Batter Re-bagging and Sanitation
• Unloading Batter from trailers.
• Maintains lab equipment as assigned by Supervision.
• Transport waste totes to and from the tote off areas.
• Transports waste and enters waste totes into infinity.
• Promote and adhere to company safety regulations.
• Cleans and inserts new tote liners.
• Completes forklift operator daily checklist.
• Understands the concepts and participates in the techniques of the quality process.
• Promotes job safety.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in factory clean-ups.
• Assists Operator with fryer high pressure blasting and sanitation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Special Requirements

• Before being certified as a Fryer Utility, one of the following two conditions must be met:

• Certification as both the Prime Line 1 Operator and Prime Line 2 Operator
• Certification in one Prime Line and certification in one Specialty Line Operator position.

• Must also learn Batter Operator position.
• Requires moderate mental and manual skill.
• Requires some initiative and independence.
• Requires reasonable care to avoid minor damage to equipment and considerable care to avoid major injury of self and others.
• Requires forklift certification.
• Requires chemical training.
