Job description

An apartment home community in Canton, MI has an opening for a Leasing Manager. The successful candidate will fulfill the primary duty of marketing the property, professionally presenting the features and benefits of the available units and properly securing lease agreements from qualified persons. The position is very customer service oriented and strives to make customers feel welcome and comfortable.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and handle accordingly
• Responsible for the marketing and leasing of homes and lots and for maintaining positive resident relations.
• Maintain accurate and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of inventory particularly in areas such as rent pricing, lease expirations, knowledge of surrounding neighborhoods and available homes in competing communities
• Schedule appointments to meet and sign all lease paperwork, accept rental payment and complete move-in orientation
• Track how prospects are hearing about us and follow up after they have visited our property
• Communicate to prospects in person, over the telephone and/or in writing home details, available amenities, location of shopping centers, services available, and terms of lease
• Assist Property Manager in maintaining accurate resident and unit records in property management software and resident files

Requirements

• Associate’s degree preferred or 1 to 2 years equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have a dynamic and outgoing personality
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Reliable personal transportation
• Highly organized with an aptitude for sales
• Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people
• Experience with Rent Manager a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
