What We’re Looking For

The Ridge is looking for a consumer product-focused Product Designer to collaborate with our product and operations team to conceptualize, refine and launch the next era of EDC goods. CAD/3D is crucial, and an engineering background/experience is excellent, but creativity is more important than engineering for this role.*

What You’ll Do

• Identify regional opportunities, with a focus on global product strategy

• Develop initial product architecture

• Develop competitive product evaluations and benchmarking

• Guide design intent from initial concept through production

• Create design concepts and drawings to determine the best product

• Present product ideas to relevant team members for brainstorming

• Suggest improvements to design and performance to product engineers

• Employ design concepts into functional prototypes

• Perform research on product technologies and structures to implement into design concepts

• Maintain up to date on current industry trends and market conditions

• Coordinate with designers to ensure accurate communication and efficiency in the design phase

What You Have

• 2+ years of experience with product design

• Experience designing with luxury and high-end brands

• Experience with different materials (metals in particular)

• Product marketing knowledge

• Proficient with 3D design software and CAD files
