City Experiences is seeking a General Maintenance for our Statue Cruises operation in Jersey City.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

Support mechanical and engineering crew when needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Support mechanical and engineering crew as directed by supervisor
• Ability to drive company van and transport crew to various work sites
• General maintenance work and minor repairs
• All other duties as assigned by management
• Use hand tool and power tools, to accomplish tasks.
• Ensures that all vessels exceed the minimum standards for the USCG and all Federal, State, and local safety standards.
• Follows all National Park Service directives, and The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island policies, to insure all passengers, quests, and visitors to the Area have an Interpretive Experience.
• Complies with and enforces established policies and procedures.
• Statue Cruises is a team oriented work environment, other duties and responsibilities may be required as deemed necessary
• Use Q2 Quality Quest customer service tools
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience of vessel engineering and maintenance.
• Prior experience in painting and maintenance
• High School diploma or equivalent recommended
• Knowledge of paints/varnishes and how to mix them for application
• Knowledge of proper surface preparation a must
• Must know how to safely and properly use hand and power tools needed for the job

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
