General Manager:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting the entire center by following Wamesit’s core values while maintaining culture and superior customer experience. This role is responsible for proactively leading the business goals including staffing development, profitability management and execution of company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes center’s goals and develops efforts to ensure that goals are met or exceeded
- Monitors financial performance of operation; make necessary decisions to achieve budget, revenue, profit (P&L) for site
- Ensures that all business functions exceed guests’ expectations
- Reviews and analyzes weekly sales and labor for all departments
- Manages performance of employees by coaching and/or discipline according to policy with action steps and feedback as required
- Works with HR to recruit, interview and hire candidates for employment based on the company needs
- Oversees food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Handles escalated customer complaints, resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner.
- Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Manages recognition and employee engagement events/programs.
- Manage, schedule and develop team managers to ensure they are effectively coaching and managing their own direct reports.
- Organizes and oversees the staff schedules
- Manage POS System while updating and auditing pricing and tax related charges
- Enforce the training program for staff members.
- Design, develop and implement tools/processes, performance metrics and reporting that enable better service pipeline and resource management
- Create and implement policies and operational procedures that ensure profitability and safety
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 5-10 years’ experience in a managerial position working in the Entertainment/Restaurant Industry
- Experience managing multiple direct reports
- Experience with POS operation (Toast Preferred), budget development and P&L management
- Passion for excellent customer service, plus team coaching and mentorship
- Proficient with all MS Office Applications
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be adaptable to change with proven strong operational skills within a fast-paced environment
