Job description
Rusk County is accepting applications for a full-time GIS Specialist to work in the Land Conservation and Development Department. Responsibilities include creating maps, customized Geographic Information Systems applications, assisting the Land Records Division with maintaining records of the County Surveyor's office, the County’s emergency 911 system, rural address numbers, and providing information to the public. Must have the ability to read and interpret maps, understand digital land data and manage information entered into the GIS database. Must have post-secondary education and 1-3 years of experience in developing and maintaining GIS data, including the use of Esri software. Starting wage range is $24 - $28/hr.
