Job description

Essential Duties:

• Install and calibrate grade control solutions for customers
• Ensure installations are done in a clean and professional manner
• Ensure all components of solutions are properly integrated and working
• Travel to jobsite to conduct Grade Control calibrations as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues/problems with Grade Control machines and work with Service Departments to repair equipment
• Work in unison with Technicians as needed to support machine control vs. machine operations
• Perform field kit installation and system updates as needed
• Ensure designated Technicians at each site are trained on calibration of Grade Control solutions
• Work with Service Departments to coordinate installation of Grade Control components on Bottom Line Equipment rental fleet
• Maintain visibility using CRM of customers with support contracts
• Conduct end of support contract system maintenance, record results, make recommendations for needed repairs
• Report back on status of final system maintenance visits to ensure transparency
• Discuss renewals with customers and turnover leads
• Engage customers with Grade Control alerts
• Take corrective action in accordance with existing policies and procedures
• In situations where repair is beyond the scope, collaborate with responsible site for follow-up

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a heavy construction equipment mechanic preferred.
• Understanding of heavy equipment CANbus, J1939 and RS232 communications
• Understanding of construction applications and machine operation
• Experience with Topcon, Leica and/or Trimble grade control systems.
• Welding experience
