Job description
Graphic Designer with the ability to convey ideas with visual and textual content and a working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite to create print and digital assets for the Office of the Academic Vice President (AVP) and affiliated offices.
Essential Functions:
Graphic Design (100%)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Create graphics and web assets for the AVP and Associate Academic VP offices (clients).
- Provide high-quality and engaging design pieces while adhering to BYU branding guidelines and following security and accessibility standards
- Design layouts for PowerPoint presentations, brochures, websites, and print/digital reports for presentation to the commissioner of education, board members, president’s council, deans’ council, etc.
- Organize and design graphic templates and documents for ease of use by AVP office personnel
- Coordinate and mentor student employees working on concurrent projects
Education/Experience
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design or related field with 2 years of design experience OR equivalent combination of related experience and education
Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications: (Required)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work concurrently on several projects while following each one from design to distribution
- Effective communication with clients to assure accuracy of project information
- Ability to take direction and projects from multiple clients while managing timelines to consistently deliver projects in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to work with subjects from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to coordinate and mentor student employees

Approximate Starting Salary: $27.50 - $35.50 hourly, depending on qualifications
